Description
SFC Engineering Partnership, Inc., (SFC) provided surveying, engineering, planning and permitting services for a 4.8 million dollar development to a modern camping resort located on 150 acres at the foothills of the White Mountains. Overlooking Huckins Pond, The Bluffs at Danforth Bay has 300+ large campsites, two beaches, three swimming pools, and other amenities.
In the beginning, the owners envisioned developing a recreation destination combining comfortable, modern, fun amenities with the experience of traditional camping. SFC helped to bring that vision to realization by working closely with the client, town and state to ensure every step, from conceptual planning and surveying through design, permitting and construction, met or exceeded the needs and expectations of all involved.
SFC recently helped Danforth Bay expand with 50 additional camp sites. This section was designed in compliance with the updated storm water regulations. Storm water filtering, detention and infiltration were designed into this campground. These features were challenged by the steep topography.
A sewage collection system and pumps were designed to service the new campsites and get effluent to the remote leach fields.
